Welcome friends,
I'm glad you have found my little space of magic on the web. As mentioned on my home page, it has been my dream to create my very own original graphics. With some time, practice, and dedication, my dream began to take flight in 2006. I have always enjoyed art and have been drawing on paper for as long as I can remember. I never had any formal art training. My art comes from within and it allows me to express myself in many ways. It has become my hobby and an activity that allows me to be free. I also love sharing my work with others and this is one of the reasons why I wanted to create this website, Mariely's Whimsy Graphics.
I began drawing graphics on my computer in 2004. I decided to try some graphic tutorials and learn how to use Paint Shop Pro 8. After some practice, I was able to create the cute little graphics you see throughout my site. You may view My Memberships section in order to see where I obtained my graphic tutorials. A special thank you to all those graphic artists who have provided these online tutorials to help people like me develop our gifts further.
Besides drawing graphics and maintaining this site, I maintain another site dedicated to my classroom, Ms. Sanchez' Class. I have been a classroom teacher since 2001 and I have taught students in grades levels from K-6, from general education to gifted education. I absolutely love being a teacher. I dedicate time to making learning fun and interesting to my students. Please feel free to visit my classroom website and don't forget to sign our guestbook when you visit.
On a personal note, I am a single mother of one very energetic little boy. I have been blessed with this little soul and I feel very fortunate to be his mother. He brightens my days, turns frowns to smiles, and makes me feel very special. I thank God every day for him and I feel blessed to have him in my life.
